Instant Pot  Dal Makhani

Dal makhani is a vegan, gluten-free Indian lentil curry, also known as Madras lentils.  It is served with Indian bread or rice.

Ingredients

01 Whole black urad dal (matpe beans) and Kidney beans

02 Tomatoes

03 Ginger garlic paste

04 Indian spices [cumin, turmeric, red chilli, garam masala, and coriander powder]

Soak dal and beans overnight.

Using instant pot saute mode, saute tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, and spices.

Add soaked dal, beans, and water and cook on high pressure mode.

Allow the instant pot pressure to release naturally and then open the lid.

Blend the dal coarsely to make it creamy in consistency.
