Butternut squash is a type of winter squash and is similar to a pumpkin from the inside. It is high in nutrients, vitamins, and anti-oxidants. Check out this easy way to cook whole butternut squash in the instant pot without removing the skin.

Butternut Squash

Instructions
Rinse the butternut squash thoroughly with water.
Pour 1 cup water in the instant pot liner.
Place a trivet in the instant pot.
Place the butternut squash on the trivet.
Lock the lid with pressure valve in sealing position.
Cook on high-pressure mode for 25 minutes.
Allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes and then release the remaining pressure.
Check the butternut squash by inserting a fork for doneness.
Notes
Choose a butternut squash that fits well in the instant pot. A 6-8 inch long butternut squash fits well in the 6 qt. instant pot.
