Brown basmati rice is a long-grain variety of brown rice. Brown rice can be easily pressure cooked in the instant pot directly or using the pot in pot method.

Ingredients
To cook directly in the instant pot liner

Instructions
How to cook brown basmati rice in the instant pot. (2 cups of rice)
Rinse the brown rice with cold water.
Put 2 ½ cup water and 2 cups brown rice in the instant pot liner.
Lock the instant pot lid and move the pressure valve to the sealing position.
Pressure cook for 22 minutes on high-pressure mode, turn the "keep warm" setting on.
Allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes.
Move the pressure knob to the venting position and release the remaining pressure until the silver pin drops.
Open the lid and fluff the rice with a fork.

In a small stainless steel pot put the 1 cup rice and 1 ¼ cup water.
Add 1 ½ cup of water to the instant pot liner.
Place a trivet in the instant pot liner.
Place the small stainless steel pot with rice and water on the trivet and cover it.
Lock the instant pot lid and move the pressure valve to the sealing position.
Pressure cook for 22 minutes on high-pressure mode, turn the "keep warm" setting on.
Allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes.
Move the pressure knob to the venting position and release the remaining pressure until the silver pin drops.
Open the lid and fluff the rice with a fork.
Notes
It is best to use the pot in pot method if you are cooking less than 2 cups of rice.
If you want to cook 2 cups of rice or more, it is best to cook in the
instant pot
liner.
