Summertime is best to enjoy fresh corn on the cob. They can be eaten as a side dish, enjoyed with bbq, or just as a snack. There are any ways to cook corn on the cob like grilling, cooking in instant pot, or in the air fryer.
Cooking corn on the cob in the air fryer is very easy. It takes very little effort and is ready in a matter of minutes to accompany your meals.
Ingredients
Making corn on the cob is really very simple. You need only fresh corn ears and seasoning of your choice. During summer, fresh corn is available in abundance in the grocery stores. There is no need to apply any oil while roasting the corn in the air fryer.

Apart from the fresh corn ears, you will also need a seasoning of your choice. You can apply butter, pepper, or Indian style seasoning made with a mixture of salt and red chili powder. Lime wedges are used to apply the Indian seasoning on the corn cobs once they are roasted.
Instructions
Before you can cook fresh corn on the cob in the air fryer, remove all the husk and silk from the corn ears. While you are doing that, preheat the air fryer to 390°F.
Now place the corn ears in the air fryer basket. If they don't fit well then break them into smaller pieces. Place them in a single layer to ensure they are cooked evenly. There is no need to spray any oil on the corn while air frying.
Cook the corn on the cob in the air fryer for 8 minutes at 390°F. In between, after about 4-5 minutes, flip the corn ears with the help of kitchen tongs.

Place the corn on the cob in the air fryer.

Air fry for 8 minutes at 390°F.
Once the corn is done cooking for 8 minutes, open the air fryer basket. You will see that a few kernels have started turning golden brown. The corn on the cob is well roasted.
With the help of kitchen tongs, take them out and place them on a cooling rack. Apply seasoning of your choice before serving.
Serving suggestions
Air fryer corn on the cob can be served with a variety of sesonings. It can be served by applying butter on it and also sprinkling some pepper. Indian style seasoning of salt and red chili powder tastes wonderful when applied with a lemon wedge.
Some garlic powder, Italian seasoning, Mexican seasoning, or freshly chopped cilantro can be sprinkled as well.

Equipment
I have roasted the corn ears in the Instant Vortex Plus air fryer. However, any air fryer and type will work. If the air fryer basket is small you can cut the corn cobs into halves and then place them in the air fryer basket.
Depending on how many corn ears you are placing in the air fryer, the cooking time may vary by a few minutes.
Storage
It is best to consume the air fried corn on the cob especially while it is still warm. If you have any leftovers then you can store it in the fridge for 1-2 days. It can be reheated in the microwave or in the air fryer but it will not taste as good as the fresh ones.
Top tip
If the corn ears are long and do not fit in the air fryer then you can simply cut them into halves and place them in the air fryer basket.
