It is summer and peaches are in season. Homemade peach ice cream is a perfect frozen dessert to enjoy to beat the heat. This easy-to-make no cook peach ice cream recipe with an ice cream maker is made with no eggs, has a fresh peach flavor, and is gluten-free.

Making ice cream at home is really easy though it may sound like a daunting task at first. It takes only a few ingredients compared to the store-bought ones. It also gives you control over the ingredients.

An ice cream maker makes the entire process very easy and you can enjoy homemade ice cream as and when you like.

    Ingredients

This fresh peach ice cream recipe is a pleasant treat to make for parties, potlucks, or just to surprise your loved ones and those who love peaches.

This no-cook, no-egg peach ice cream is made mainly with only 4 ingredients. Fresh peaches give it the flavor and you can peel them easily with a knife. Heavy whipping cream, whole milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt are all you need.

    Instructions

It is really easy to make this fresh homemade peach ice cream recipe at home in an ice cream maker.

The first step is to peel and chop the fresh peaches. This recipe requires only 2-3 peaches so it is not very time-consuming to peel them without blanching.

An easy way to peel the peaches without blanching them is to first cut them into halves and remove the seed. Then cut them into quarters and then from the edges, pull and remove the peels with a knife.

Now blend the peaches, sugar, milk, and a pinch of salt in a high speed blender like Vitamix and make a smooth peach puree. Pour the ice cream mixture into a medium bowl and add heavy cream to it and mix it with a spatula or a spoon. There is no need to blend the cream.

Step 1: Combine and blend all ingredients except heavy cream in a blender.

Step 2: Add the heavy cream and mix well.

Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 2 hours before churning it in the ice cream maker. Give the mixture a good stir before pouring it into the ice cream maker bowl. Churn it for about 25 minutes or as per the manufacturer's instructions.

The peach ice cream will be of soft-serve consistency once the ice cream machine cycle ends. You can enjoy it as is or transfer it to a freezer-safe container and freeze it for 5-6 hours before serving.

Step 4: Freeze for 5-6 hours before serving.

    Substitutions

If you cannot find fresh peaches, you can also make this peach ice cream with frozen peaches. Just ensure you defrost them before blending them and making the ice cream mixture.

It is best to use whole milk for a nice creamy texture, however, if you are running out of it or want to use low-fat milk then you can use it. In that case, the ice cream will be less creamy and it can take longer to churn as well.

    Serving suggestions

Peach ice cream is full of peach flavor and can be enjoyed as is in a bowl, sugar cone, or waffle cone. You can also top it with fresh peaches, or tutti frutti while serving. It is also a perfect ice cream to add to the banana split sundae.

    Equipment

An ice cream maker makes the entire process of making ice cream at home a breeze. I have made this peach ice cream in a Cuisinart ICE 100 ice cream maker. It has a compressor in it so there is no need to freeze the bowl for 24 hours before churning the ice cream.

If you have an ice cream maker with a freezer bowl then you will need to freeze it for 24 hours prior to making this ice cream.

If you are looking for an ice cream maker for your family's needs then check out this post on which ice cream maker to buy.

    Storage

Homemade peach ice cream can be stored in an air-tight container for about a month. It is absolutely delicious and flavorful, and will be gone in just a few days 🙂

    Top tip

    • Blend the peaches well into a smooth puree to avoid any hard peach chunks in the ice cream.
    • If you are using a compressor ice cream maker then chill the bowl in the machine for about 5 minutes before pouring the mixture into it. This will reduce the overall churning time.
