Love peaches? I simply love the taste and flavor of a nice ripe peach. However, I feel peaches have a very short window when it is perfectly ripe and just right for consumption.
I love making this bread machine peach jam in summer when we have a lot of peaches. It is super easy to make with very little effort.
Ingredients
To make this homemade sweet and spicy peach jam, I like to use fresh peaches.
For ensuring that the jam sets well, I add some pectin.
For sweetness, sugar is added, and I prefer the organic cane sugar.
Adding a teaspoon of butter can help avoid formation of small bubbles and also gives a shiny glaze. It is optional and can be skipped.
To make it spicy, I add the hot sriracha sauce once it is ready.
Instructions
I love the fact that making peach jam in bread machine is a dump and go process and the machine does all of the mixing and heating until the jam is ready.
Add peeled and chopped peaches, sugar, butter, and pectin in the bread machine container. Select the "Jam" cycle and let it cook. The machine will continue to mix and heat throughout the cycle.
Once the cycle is complete, peach jam is ready. Transfer the jam into a clean sanitized jar carefully as it will be very hot. If you don't want to make it spicy, you can leave it as is and enjoy the peach jam once it is cooled and refrigerated.
Step 1: Add all ingredients to the bread machine pan.
Step 2: Start the jam cycle and let it complete.
Variation
To make the peach jam a little spicy I mix in a tablespoon of hot sriracha sauce, allow it to cool down and then it will be ready to eat.
Equipment
I have made this peach jam in the 2 lb. Hamilton Beach bread machine. Any bread machine with the jam cycle will work well.

Storage
Homemade peach jam can be stored in the refrigerator and can last for 3-4 months. It goes well with toast, bread, roasted plantains, or even with chips like a relish.

Peach Jam in Bread Machine
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 lb Peaches (peeled and chopped)
- 1 cup Organic cane sugar
- 1 teaspoon Unsalted butter (vegan butter can be used)
- 1 tablespoon Pectin
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Add peaches, sugar, butter, pectin in the bread machine container in the order suggested by the bread machine manufacturer.1 lb Peaches, 1 cup Organic cane sugar, 1 teaspoon Unsalted butter, 1 tablespoon Pectin
- Cover the lid, select and start the "Jam" cycle.
- Once the cycle is complete, the jam is ready.
- Transfer the jam in a clean sanitized jar. (Caution, it will be very hot).
- To make it spicy, add the hot sriracha sauce.1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
- Refrigerate it once cooled.
