Love peaches? I simply love the taste and flavor of a nice ripe peach. However, I feel peaches have a very short window when it is perfectly ripe and just right for consumption.
I wanted to prolong this window and it was then I thought of making jam out of it. This sweet and spicy jam recipe is super easy and made from fresh ripe peaches and the famous hot sriracha sauce. And to keep things simple and easy, I add all ingredients into the bread machine and let it do all the magic.
How to make peach jam in bread machine?
Step one is to make the sweet jam. Add peeled and chopped peaches, sugar and pectin in the bread machine container. Select the "Jam" cycle and let it cook. The machine will continue to mix and heat throughout the cycle.
How can I thicken my peach jam?
Pectin is added as it helps set the jam and gives it a thick consistency. Adding a teaspoon of butter can help avoid formation of small bubbles and also gives a shiny glaze.
Once the cycle is complete, peach jam is ready. Transfer the jam into a clean sanitized jar carefully as it will be very hot. If you don't want to make it spicy, you can leave it as is and enjoy the peach jam once it is cooled and refrigerated. Didn't I say it was easy.
Second step is to make the jam a little spicy. Mix in a tablespoon of hot sriracha sauce, allow it to cool and then it will be ready to eat.
How long does homemade peach jam last?
Homemade peach jam can be stored in the refrigerator and can last for 3-4 months. This sweet and spicy jam goes well with toast or even with chips like a relish.

Hi Tracey,
Yes, you can use frozen peaches. Just ensure that you defrost them and squeeze out any excess water.
Let me know how it turns out.
