A bread machine not only makes bread but also delicious jams at the press of a button. This 4 ingredient blueberry jam is not only easy to make but also the best. All you need to do is put all the ingredients in the bread machine pan and start the "jam" cycle! The machine will do the rest.

Ingredients
This easy bread machine jam requires only 4 ingredients. Fresh or frozen blueberries can be used. As blueberries have a lot of natural pectin, no additional pectin is needed to make this jam, only a little lemon juice is added which allows it to set.
Sugar can be adjusted a little based on how sweet the berries are. If the berries are very sweet you can reduce the sugar a little bit. Butter helps avoid bubble formation in the jam binds the jam well and gives it a glossy texture.
Instructions
If you are using frozen blueberries then defrost them in the microwave using the defrost setting. Get rid of any excess liquid using a strainer. Optionally smash the blueberries with a spatula.
Place the blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and butter into the bread machine pan. Select and start the "jam" cycle. The paddle will mix all the ingredients for a few minutes and then mix them intermittently while cooking them.
Step 1: Gather all the ingredients and defrost the blueberries.
Step 2: Add all the ingredients to the bread machine pan.
Once the cycle is complete, the jam will be ready. Carefully remove the pan from the bread machine using mittens. Transfer the jam into sterilized glass jars or Ball Mason jars.
Let the jam cool down completely, then close the lid and refrigerate them.
Step 3: Start the jam cycle. The jam will be ready when the cycle is complete.
Step 4: Transfer the jam to a clean jar and let it cool down.

Equipment
I have made this blueberry jam in the 2 lb. Breadman bread machine. It can be made in any bread machine with the "jam" cycle.
Storage
Bread machine blueberry jam can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 months in an airtight container or glass jars.
Top tip
Adding a little butter avoids the formation of tiny bubbles and makes the butter glossy. You can skip the butter and there won't be any difference in taste.
