    Cranberry juice is a perfect non-alcoholic drink for fall, especially when served warm. It can also be served chilled. This is an easy 3 ingredient recipe to make cranberry juice.

    Instant pot is perfect to turn fresh cranberries into juice by pressure cooking. As cranberries are tart, a sweetener is added to balance the taste.

    Cranberry juice is perfect to sip warm in cool fall days or it can be served cold. It can be served as a refreshment during parties and you can also optionally add some soda to it.

    Homemade cranberry juice ingredients

    Homemade cranberry juice is made with only 3 ingredients. You will need fresh cranberries, water, and a sweetener. Personally, I like to use agave nectar, however, you can also use sugar, honey, maple syrup, or even sweet fruit juice.

    If you want to make spiced cranberry juice, you can also add some cinnamon and some grated ginger while cooking. But it is really optional.

    Cranberries are a good source of Vitamin C, E, and packed with nutrients that ward off any infections and improve overall health. They are useful in treating urinary issues, upset stomach, and liver problems. (Reference healthline.com)

    How to make cranberry juice?

    Homemade cranberry juice is easy to make in the instant pot. It just takes 5 minutes of prep work. All you need to do is to add the cranberries and water to the instant pot liner.

    Close and lock the instant pot lid and pressure cook on high-pressure mode for 10 minutes followed by natural pressure release.

    Now with the help of an immersion hand blender, blend the water and cranberries into a smooth mixture. You can also use a high-speed blender like Vitamix.

    The juice will have some fiber so it is best to strain it using a strainer. After straining there may be some fine pulp and if you want to get rid of it then you can use a nut milk bag, but it is not really needed.

    Cranberry juice can be served hot or cold. While serving add a tablespoon of agave nectar per cup of cranberry juice.

    How to sweeten cranberry juice?

    Cranberry juice is tart and needs a sweetener to balance the taste. Any sweetener like sugar, agave nectar, maple syrup, fruit juice, or a sweetener of choice can be added to homemade cranberry juice.

    Personally, I prefer the agave nectar since I do not consume honey. However, if you do include honey in your diet, you can add it to make the juice sweet.

    How long does homemade cranberry juice last?

    Homemade cranberry juice can stay good for 3-4 days in the fridge. You can also freeze it in ice cube trays or silicone molds.

    Refrigerated cranberry juice can be served chilled or can be heated up in the microwave if you prefer to drink it warm.

    Ingredients

    • 12 oz Cranberries
    • 6 cup Water
    • 6 tablespoon Blue Agave sweetener (or sweetener of choice)
    Prevent your screen from going dark

    Instructions

    • Add the cranberries and water to the instant pot liner.
    • Close and lock the lid.
    • Pressure cook on high-pressure mode for 10 minutes.
    • Allow the pressure to release naturally.
    • Using an immersion hand blender, blend the water and cranberries into a fine juice.
    • Strain the juice using a fine-mesh strainer.
    • Add a tablespoon of agave nectar per cup of cranberry juice while serving.
    • Cranberry juice can be served hot or cold.

    Notes

    To serve chilled, you can cook cranberries in 4 cups of water. Add 2 cups of chilled water after opening the instant pot lid. This will help cool the juice faster.
