Ingredients
The advantage of homemade ice cream is that you get to control the ingredients that go into its making.
This is a no-egg and no-cook recipe to make graham cracker ice cream at home. You will need heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, organic cane sugar, Graham crackers, and grated semi-sweet chocolate.
Instructions
Using a blender or dry container of Vitamix or a food processor, crush the graham crackers into a fine powder.
Mix sugar, milk, and a pinch of salt in a bowl using a hand blender until all the sugar dissolves. It is important to whisk well, to ensure smooth and creamy ice cream when it is frozen.
Now add the crushed graham crackers to the mixture and mix well ensuring there are no lumps. Last, add the heavy cream and vanilla extract and gently stir it.
Refrigerate the mixture for at least two hours before churning it into the ice cream maker.
Depending on the type of ice cream maker, prepare it to churn the ice cream. Mix the ice cream mixture once and then pour it into the ice cream maker bowl.

Turn the machine on for 25 minutes. Depending on the manufacturer's instructions, add some grated chocolate towards the end (around the 20-minute mark) of the cycle.
Once the ice-cream cycle completes, graham cracker chocolate ice cream will be ready with soft-serve consistency.
Substitutions
You can use cinnamon-flavored graham crackers or even chocolate ones instead of regular ones.
Variations
You can easily make graham cracker ice cream sandwiches. Place Graham crackers on the base of a container and then evenly layer the ice cream onto it. Then cover the ice cream with a layer of Graham crackers. Freeze the homemade ice cream sandwiches for 5-6 hours before cutting and serving.
Equipment
I have made this graham cracker ice cream recipe in the 1.5 quarts Cuisinart ICE-100 ice cream maker.
