    Pineapple raita in a bowl.

Pineapple raita is an Indian side dish and a condiment served with Indian meals. It is easy to make and takes only about 5-10 minutes to prepare. It is sweet, salty, and slightly tangy in taste.

    Ingredients

The two main ingredients to make pineapple raita is plain yogurt and fresh pineapple. Homemade yogurt or store-bought one can be used as well. The yogurt should have slight sourness for authentic taste.

It is best to use fresh sweet pineapple cut into small pieces. Canned pineapple can be used as well but the taste will not be same as the one made with fresh pineapple.

Sugar, salt, black salt, and a little bit of cayenne pepper or black pepper is all you need add for flavor.
