Peanuts are great for snacking and munching. Roasted peanuts and boiled peanuts are my family's favorite. It is easy to make at home in a skillet, oven, or in the air fryer.
I love making roasted peanuts in the air fryer as you don't need to monitor or stir them like on the skillet, and it is quicker than roasting in the oven.
This is an easy air fryer roasted peanuts recipe with only a few basic ingredients. You can make them and store them in a container for snacking.
Ingredients
Roasted peanuts make a great snack with very few pantry ingredients and any type of raw peanuts, with or without skin, whole or halved can be used.
Depending on your liking, different types of seasoning can be used for flavor. For this recipe, I have used salt, red chili powder, and black pepper.

Instructions
Before roasting the peanuts in the air fryer, you will have to coat them well so they are flavored evenly.
Any seasonings like salt, red chili powder, or black pepper will not stick to the peanuts easily. Adding the seasonings to a little amount of oil helps in coating the peanuts well.
In a mixing bowl add some oil, and seasoning, and mix it well. Now add the peanuts and mix well ensuring they get well coated.

Peanuts can be roasted in the air fryer in just a few minutes. I have made this recipe in the Philips air fryer but it should work in any other air fryer too.
In a small bowl, mix some oil, red chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the raw peanuts and mix well ensuring that they are coated well.
Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 330 °F. Place the seasoned peanuts in the air fryer basket and roast for a few minutes until they are golden and you will see some oil oozing out.
The time it takes to roast peanuts in the air fryer depends on the quantity. One cup of raw peanuts takes 5 minutes while two cups take about 8 minutes in the air fryer.
Once the peanuts are roasted and hot, they will still be soft and chewy, so it is important to allow them to cool down completely to room temperature before eating.

Substitutions
Peanuts can be flavored with a variety of seasonings. The most common and popular are the salt-roasted peanuts. For a garlic flavor, you can add some garlic powder while roasting them.
In order to make them spicy, red chili powder and black pepper can be added while roasting. This is really one of my family favorites.
You can also try adding some honey to make honey-roasted peanuts. Another popular seasoning is Cajun seasoning.
The overall process of roasting the peanuts with different flavors is similar, all you need to ensure is that the peanuts are well coated while roasting.
Storage
Roasted peanuts can be stored for about a month in air-tight containers or mason jars. Allow the roasted peanuts to cool down completely and then store them.
If you want to store it for a longer time then you can put it in the fridge in an airtight container.
