Ingredients to make roasted broccoli with garlic

This roasted broccoli is flavorful and needs only a few basic ingredients. You can always adapt them to your liking and preference.

I like to use fresh broccoli florets but frozen ones will work as well. Toss the rinsed broccoli in olive oil and sesame oil along with chopped garlic, pepper powder, red chili powder, and some salt.

Also, add a little amount of sesame seeds while roasting and some for garnishing.

In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients and coat the broccoli florets well. Preheat the air fryer to 390 °F for 1-2 minutes.

Transfer the seasoned broccoli florets onto an aluminum foil and wrap it well. You want to ensure that you can easily open the foil for cooking during the last couple of minutes.

Air fry the broccoli florets in the air fryer for about 15 minutes. Then open the foil and roast it for another 1-2 minutes uncovered.

Test it with the help of a fork, the roasted florets will be crunchy. You may not want to overcook it as it can become mushy.

How to air fry frozen broccoli?

If you are out of fresh broccoli, you can also use frozen broccoli and roast them in the air fryer. The process of cooking frozen broccoli in the air fryer is the same as for the fresh ones. You will just need to rinse the frozen broccoli with water and thaw it in the microwave for about 60 seconds.

    What to eat with broccoli?

Roasted garlic broccoli tastes best when served hot. You can serve it with Asian meals like fried rice, lo mein, or kung pao. It also goes well as a side dish with soups like pasta soup or tomato soup.

How do you reheat broccoli in an air fryer?

Roasted broccoli is crunchy when it is hot and freshly served after making in the air fryer. However, any of the left overs can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days.

When you are ready to eat, simply reheat it in the microwave followed by a couple of minutes in air fryer depending on the quantity. Reheating in the air fryer can regain some crunchiness, though it will not be the same when they were cooked.
