Frozen garlic knots are a quick and easy side dish to complement any meal especially when you cannot make fresh homemade garlic knots. I like to keep a pack or two of frozen New York Bakery garlic knots in my freezer for such busy days.
They are a great after-school snack for kids and taste delicious with some marinara sauce to dip into or tomato soup.
It is easy to bake frozen garlic knots in the oven. But it takes a long time since first you need to preheat the oven and then bake it for 8-10 minutes.
Air fryer frozen garlic knots take only a few minutes to cook, especially when you just want a few of them. They can be baked in a matter of a few minutes and served as an accompaniment to your meals or as a side for your favorite soups.
Ingredients
To make these frozen garlic knots in the air fryer, you just need one ingredient. I have used the New York Bakery frozen garlic knots but other brands can also be air fried in a similar way.
You can also make garlic knots at home and then freeze them in the freezer. They can also be reheated in the air fryer in a similar way.

Instructions
To cook frozen bread sticks in the air fryer, first, preheat the air fryer to 390°F for about 2-3 minutes. If air fry at a lower temperature, they will take a little longer to cook and they also tend to dry from the top.
Once the air fryer is heated, place 3-4 frozen garlic knots in the air fryer basket in a single layer depending on the size of the basket.
Air fry the frozen garlic knots for about 3 minutes at 390°F, the garlic butter will melt as they get heated. They will be done once the crust is golden brown or to your preferred texture. Once you break them they will be well-cooked and soft from the inside.
If you want to air fry more frozen garlic knots then you can continue in the same way in batches. You might also enjoy this Texas toast recipe in the air fryer.

Serving suggestions
Garlic knots can be served as an appetizer with marinara sauce. You can eat them with soups like pasta soup, 15-bean soup, and tomato soup especially when you don't have time to make grilled cheese sandwiches.
It also complements mac and cheese and Fettucine alfredo well. I also serve it with pasta dishes like vegetable pasta casserole and baked broccoli pasta and get a lot of compliments from family and friends.
If you are planning to serve a crowd or make a recipe for a party, a mixed vegetable casserole is a great crowd-pleaser dish to serve along with the side of garlic knots.
Equipment
I have made this frozen garlic knots recipe in the Instant Vortex Plus air fryer. It can be made in any type of air fryer, be it basket style or tray style, or any size. The only thing is that the number of frozen garlic knots that can be air fried at one time will vary.
Depending on your air fryer and the size of the garlic knots, the cooking time may vary by a few minutes.

Storage
It is best to eat the air fryer frozen garlic knots once it is done cooking. In case you have any leftovers, you can store them in the refrigerator in an airtight container or in aluminum foil.
Just ensure that the garlic knots have cooled down completely before storing them, or else they can become soggy.
When you are ready to eat, simply reheat the garlic knots in the air fryer at 350°F for a minute and they will become perfectly soft to enjoy :).
