    Naan pizza is a great snack for the kids. It is quick and easy to make with your favorite toppings. Be it a busy day or you are craving a pizza, this air fryer naan pizza is a great choice and can be made in just about 10 minutes!

    Ingredients

    Homemade air fryer naan pizza requires a few pantry ingredients other than the flatbread, naan. You can use homemade air fryer naan bread to make naan pizza from scratch. Store-bought fresh or frozen naan bread works well too.

    Making naan flatbread pizza is just like making pizza with pizza dough but in just under 10 minutes! Pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil leaves, and veggie toppings like bell pepper, red onions, mushrooms, olives, and pineapple all go well with naan toppings. A little olive oil is applied to the naan bread before assembling it.

    It is best to use block cheese and grate it using a hand grater or in the food processor instead of using the pre-grated cheese. Finally, sprinkle some of your favorite seasonings while eating them. Italian seasoning, oregano, parsley, and red chili flakes go well on the pizza.

    Instructions

    Making flatbread pizza at home in the air fryer is quick and easy. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F for 2-3 minutes or until it prompts you to add food. In the meantime assemble the naan bread.

    Apply some olive oil to the naan with a basting brush. Then spread the pizza sauce and apply your favorite veggie toppings. Sprinkle a lot of cheese on it and you are now all set to air fry it.

    Step 1: Assemble the naan pizza with pizza sauce and toppings.

    Step 2: Sprinkle some grated cheese.

    Carefully place the naan in the air fryer basket. Air fry the naan pizza at 390°F for 4-5 minutes. After 4 minutes of air frying, open the air fryer basket. At this point, check if the flatbread pizza is done by ensuring the crust is crispy and the cheese has melted and become golden brown.

    Step 3: Place the naan pizza in air fryer.

    Step 4: Air fry naan pizza until cheese is golden brown.

    Depending on the size of the naan bread and the air fryer, the air frying time may vary a bit. Once the naan pizza is ready and the base of naan is crusty, the pizza is ready. You will need to use a spatula to take it out from the air fryer.

    Slice the naan pizza with a pizza cutter and enjoy it hot with your favorite seasonings.

    Substitutions

    Naan pizza can be made with different ingredients as per your liking.

    • Naan bread - homemade naan, store-bought ones, or the frozen naan can be used to make naan pizza.
    • Pizza sauce - any type of sauce like marinara, tomato basil, or alfredo sauce can be used to make homemade naan pizza.
    • Toppings - you can use any veggie toppings of your choice like mushrooms, bell pepper, spinach, pineapple, onions, and jalapeno.

    Variations

    Pizza is a very versatile food and you can adapt it easily to your liking.

    • Spicy - add some jalapeno peppers as a topping or sprinkle some chili pepper flakes while eating the naan pizza.
    • Cheese - add a variety of cheeses like cheddar, pepper jack, Colby jack, mozzarella, and more.
    • Kid-friendly - add only cheese to make cheese pizza or just pineapple toppings.

    Equipment

    I have made this air fryer flatbread pizza in the Instant Vortex Plus air fryer. It can be made in any type of air fryer, be it basket style, tray style, or any size. The only thing that would matter is that the naan should fit in the air fryer.

    Depending on your air fryer, the cooking time may vary by a minute or two. Also, depending on the size of the air fryer, you may be able to cook more than one naan pizza at a time.

    Storage

    Just like any pizza, it is best to eat the naan bread pizza immediately while it is hot. In case you have any leftover naan pizza, you can store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container or wrap it in aluminum foil.

    When you are ready to eat the leftovers, you can simply reheat them in the air fryer at 350°F for a minute.

    Top tip

    If you are using frozen naan bread to make naan pizza then it is best to reheat the naan for about 2 minutes in the air fryer before applying all the toppings on it to make the pizza.

    • Apply the veggie toppings on top of the sauce on the naan.

    • Air fry the naan pizza for 4-5 minutes at 390°F.
    • Check the pizza after 4 minutes and air fry for another minute if needed.
    • Gently remove the naan pizza from the air fryer basket with the help of a spatula.
    • Slice the naan pizza and sprinkle the seasoning of your choice.

    Notes

    • You can use toppings of your choice
    • If you use frozen naan then reheat it in the air fryer for about 2-3 minutes before applying the toppings.
    • Baking in oven
      • Bake the pizza in a preheated oven at 425°F for about 8 minutes or until the cheese becomes golden brown.
